Obuda University EKIK Space Day
On 31 March 2025, the SpaceLab of Obuda University hosted the Space Day, a professional event aimed at presenting the latest results of Hungarian space research and strengthening cooperation between the scientific, industrial and educational sectors.
The event featured a series of presentations on innovation, research and education, with 15 renowned national and international presenters sharing their experiences. Representatives of renowned companies and institutions such as C3S Ltd, Admatis Ltd, PCB Design, UniSpace, CanSatLab,Puli Space, McGill University, Design Terminal,HunEdu and eCon Engineering Ltd.
The popularity of the event is reflected in the attendance of nearly 200 external participants, in addition to university students, which provided an excellent opportunity for professional dialogue and networking. Due to the large number of attendees, the event had to be held in two lecture halls, with one of them streaming the lectures live so that students could follow the presentations.
The day concluded with a round table discussion about ‘University Space Labs for Research, Innovation and Education’. The discussion was led by Péter Kristóf PhD. The aim of the discussion was to present a comprehensive overview of space research activities in higher education institutions in Hungary and to provide an opportunity for an exchange of views on future cooperation opportunities for university space laboratories.
The event was not only an opportunity to build professional contacts, but also to promote space research and the innovation activities of Obuda University among young people.
