Space Lab with many other research centers will officially participate on Researcher’s Night ( https://app.kutatokejszakaja.hu/intezmenyek/obudai-egyetem) at Obuda University /27 – 28. September 2024./ and showcase some of the space related R&D happenings at the University!
WREN satellite is now in space
WREN-1 satellite is now in stable orbit. The satellite was transported by the SpaceX
Falcon 9 space rocket on 16 August 2024.
WREN-1 measures the moisture content of the topsoil and the development of vegetation.
Óbuda University joined the UniSpace programme
Four new universities joined the 21 UniSpace Hungary consortium. Óbuda University was represented by Prof. Dr. László Gulácsi, Vice Rector for Science. The aim of the cooperation is to contribute to space research and space technology among the universities using their competences in the field of space and space-related industries, with a coordinated training system, and training courses.

WREN satellite is ready for take off
The WREN satellite was completed and ready for launch by the end of 2023. Once it is in orbit, it will provide remote sensing data for data analysis. The satellite will be equipped with a multispectral SWIR camera, a position measuring instruments, with a satellite navigation system, and a micro-vibration monitoring unit,.
